Shahabuddin, 14 others chargesheeted for hunting Cheetal
Bettiah, Feb 06 (UNI) Incarcerated RJD MP from Siwan Mohammed Shahabuddin along with 14 others has been chargesheeted by the Forest Department in Bagaha for allegedly hunting a cheetal.
The forest officials filed chargesheet in the court at Bagaha, alleging that Mohammad Shahabuddin and 14 others had hunted a cheetal in the forest under Balmikinagar Tiger Project area violating the provision of Wild Life Act.
Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Bettiah Surendra Kumar Singh had recovered the Cheetal's skin and photographs exhibiting Shahabuddin and his associates sitting with the dead animal. On the basis of photographs and other evidences, investigation was carried out in the case and forests officials found the RJD MP guilty.
In its chargesheet, the forest officials mentioned that the crime was committed by Mohammad Shahabuddin and his accomplices between 2003 to April 2005.
