Nitish for deterrent action against hate elements in Mumbai
Patna, Feb 6 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today requested Maharastra Chief Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh to take stringent action against the elements spreading hatred towards Hindi speaking people living in that state.
In a letter to Mr Deshmukh, Mr Kumar stated that action taken against such elements should be so harsh that it could act as deterrent for others in coming days.
''The action of certain elements in Maharstara during the past few days was certainly not in the spirit of a democratic society and rights granted in constitution'', Mr Kumar noted and urged Mr Deshmukh to ensure the protection of life and properties of the people from northern and eastern India living in Maharstra.
''The spirit of intolerance and brotherhood among various section of the society must be maintained at any cost'', he emphasised.
