NCR Planning Board sanctions projects for Haryana
Chandigarh, Feb 6 (UNI) The Project Sanctioning Committee of National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) has sanctioned roads, sewerage system and treatment of sewage and power projects for Haryana involving a total investment of Rs 800 crore.
"These projects were sanctioned by the Project Sanctioning Committee of NCRPB in a meeting held with the officers of the concerned Departments of Haryana in New Delhi today", Chief Secretary Promilla Issar said while interacting with mediapersons here today.
While giving details of these projects, she said that the five projects of roads cleared by the Committee included improvement of Gurgaon-Jhajjar road, Rohtak-Kharkhoda-Delhi road, Hodal-Nuh-Pataudi Patauda road, Gurgaon-Alwar road and a rail overbridge project at Bahadurgarh on Nahra road involving a total estimated cost of Rs 755 crore. For these projects the loan assistance would be Rs 559 crore.
These projects would be undertaken by the Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) Department, she added.
She said that the projects concerning Haryana Water Supply and Sanitation Department included sewerage system and treatment of sewerage at Kharkhauda and Ganaur towns, for which Rs 22 crore were sanctioned by the Project Sanctioning Committee of NCRPB. She said that power projects sanctioned by the board included 11 sub stations of 33 KV concerning Uttar Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam at Khokrakot, Rohtak, Kalanaur, Sampla, Titoli and Kharawar with an estimated cost of Rs 23 crore. She said that the first unit of 300 MW at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Project at Yamunanagar has been synchronised on November 13 last year. It achieved full load of its capacity of 300 MW on February 3, she said and added that the second unit of an equal capacity would be synchronised on March 15.
A sum of Rs 1648 crore has so far been incurred on setting up of this project, she added.
