New Delhi, Feb 6: Japan's largest general trading company Mitsubishi Corporation today said it has partnered with Coimbatore-based Craftsman Automation Ltd to set up a firm offering sales and service of industrial machinery.
''The new company will be formed through a joint venture between Mitsubishi and Craftsman to form 'MC Craftsman Machinery Ltd' (MCCML) and will offer sales and service of industrial machinery,'' a company statement said. MCCML will offer products from the Mitsubishi stable along with other machineries in the field of die and mould industry, sheet metal industry and parts manufacturing industry, the statement added.
''India is growing in its manufacturing development and the market size is expected to multiply many-fold in the coming years. To address this market for sales, service, spares and application support, we decided to set up a strong professional system-oriented organisation with talented and trained manpower,'' said MCCML Managing Director Yoji Taguchi.
The head office and main technical centre will be located in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, while the other branch offices and centres will be located in Chennai, Pune and New Delhi to support customers in major industrial region, the statement said.
