Agartala, Feb 6 (UNI) An extensive transfer process in the civil and police administration is going on as per the directions by the election commission.
A person had been arrested and produced before court in electoral photo identity card snatching case.
As per the order given by the election commission, the state election department prepared a transfer list and it already has been sent to the commission. Within a few days, the process will be complete.
Chief Electoral Officer GSG Ayyanger said, ''If any official is staying in their home district for more then three years, except for the west district, he can not play any role in election work. '' "So we prepared a transfer list and sent it for approval. Already 13 IPS and TPS officers including two DIG rank police officers have been transferred. Now a transfer list of 125 police officers, comprising mainly inspector and sub inspector rank officers will be issued after gating approval from the election commission. At least, 20 - 25 civil administrative officers will also be in the transfer list," he added.
Regarding EPICs snatching case he said, ''Detailed information will come very soon. However, in some cases, it has been proved that the EPIC had been snatched by some militant outfits. One person has been arrested and produced before the court in that connection.'' He also assured that the commission will make alternate arraignment for the victim's family.
