Hyderabad Heroes crush Mumbai Champs by 80 runs

Hyderabad, Feb 6 (UNI) Hyderabad Heroes defeated Mumbai Champs by 80 runs in the 13th match of ICL 50s here today.

Winning the toss, Hyderabad Heroes albeit losing their first wicket in the second over, they managed to score 276 for eight in 50 overs at a brisk pace. Stand-in-skipper and opener Shashank Nag scored 63 runs of 64 balls, including 11 boundaries. The middle order chipped in pretty well as both the batsmen, Vinay Kumar and Ibrahim Khaleel scored half centuries.

The Mumbai Champs bowlers Anupam Sanklecha and Suyash Burkul emerged successful claiming three wickets each.

In reply the Champs continued to show their poor run in the tournament. The only batsman who stood out for the Champs was Dheeraj Jadhav who was unbeaten on 101 runs, hitting 12 fours.

Mumbai Champs were all out for 196 in just 42.5 overs.

Ranjeet Khirid, with 31 runs of 47 balls, including two fours and one six supported Dheeraj.

Shashank Nag and Dheeraj Jadhav were declared men of the match.

Kaushik Reddy of Hyderabad Heroes bagged three wickets.

Heroes picked up a bonus point in today's match.

Brief scores: Hyderabad Heroes 276 for eight in 50 overs (Shashank Nag 63, Vinay Kumar 62, A Sanlkecha 3-72) beat Mumbai Champs 196 for 10 in 42.4 overs (Dheeraj Jadhav 101*, Ranjeet Khirid 31, K Reddy 3-34).
