Conference to deal with spurt in cyber crimes tomorrow

Lucknow, Feb 6 (UNI) Experts from various fields dealing with cyber security and cyber laws will gather at Taj city of Agra tomorrow to delve upon various ways to deal with the spurt in crimes in the virtual space.

''Information Technology with all its components like computers, internet has made communication faster. Several minds enter and exit the cyber world every second, therefore, making it prone to intrusion by criminal ideas,'' DIG (Agra Range) Kamal Saksena told UNI over phone.

He claimed that as a result, the important information available in the cyber space is being corrupted and used for illegitimate purpose. ''The seminar, the first of its kind to be organised in the state, will delve upon ways to educate people and find ways to deal with cyber criminals,'' he added.

With technology savvy criminals finding out several ways to carry out crimes and misuse information related to individuals, defence and corporate sector, the Uttar Pradesh police decided to hold the one-day seminar.

Key speakers would include state director general of police Vikram Singh, CBI's Rakesh Agarwal, Supreme Court advocate Pavan Duggal Cyber Forensic's M Krishna and Delhi Police's S D Mishra. The experts will put forth their views on issues ranging from cyber law enforcement by police, cyber laws and legislations, capabilities of cyber forensics and ways to present evidence in cyber crimes in courts.
