Chandigarh, Feb 6 (UNI) The Punjab unit of the BJP will moblise 30,000 workers for the SAD-BJP 'Punjabi Rally' to be held at Delhi on February 22 to highlight the demands and problems of the border state.
This decision was taken at a meeting of the state and district level office bearers of the party held here today. State president Rajinder Bhandari presided over the meeting.
Prof Bhandari asked the office bearers to moblise at least 30,000 workers for this rally.
The major demand at the rally would be special packages for the indebted farmers of the state and the industrial sector. The decision to hold the rally was taken at a Coordination Committee meeting of the SAD-BJP held last week.
Another important decision taken at the meeting was that the BJP would contest the forthcoming Municipal Committee polls on the party symbol. The meeting decided to form district level committees for the elections.
