Baraiyya to be LJP nominee for MP CM
Gwalior, Feb 6 (UNI) Union Steel Minister and Lok Janashakti Party President Ramvilas Paswan today said that his party would field its Vice-President Phool Singh Baraiyya as its chief ministerial candidate for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections scheduled later this year.
''The LJP will go it alone at the hustings. I award zero marks to this state's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party's work,'' he told mediapersons here after addressing a rally.
Mr Paswan felt that a criminal case should be registered against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray for making inflammatory statements.
''I have written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh two days back urging action against Mr Thackeray for statements against those hailing from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. He earlier spoke against those from southern India and Gujarat. The Maharashtra government should act against him,'' he added.
