Bangalore, Feb 5 (UNI) Denmark Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen today said that there was a need for increased integration of Muslims in European countries.
In an interaction with the students of Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore, he, however, asserted that there was no negative sentiments against Muslims in Europe.
''Since the age of enlightenment, we distinguish between politics and religion. We give full respect to freedom of expression and free practice of religion. However, the Muslims and others should differentiate between politics and religion,'' he said, while admitting that there were challenges in integrating cultural and inter-cultural understandings in Europe.
There was no negative feelings or sentiments against Muslims in the European countries but against extremists, Mr Rasmussen added.
