Teenaged student hangs self in south Delhi
New Delhi, Feb 5 (UNI) A Class XII student of a south Delhi public school allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his Gulmohar Park accommodation.
G N Vijay (17), student of Kalkaji Public School in Alaknanda, was found hanging from the ceiling, said the police.
He was living there as a tenant and preparing for his engineering entrance test.
No suicide note has been found.
His family in Dehradun has been informed, police added.
In another incident, an 80-year-old former Army officer allegedly shot himself in the temple at his Vikaspuri residence in West Delhi.
Police said Charanjeet Singh was rushed to the Deen Dayal Hospital where he later died.
Two suicide notes with similar messages have been found - one in the name of his family and the other his manager -- in which he blamed them for his pathetic condition.
Singh reportedly had a cheating case lodged against him in Chandigarh and had come to Delhi on Saturday.
He ran a construction company in Madhya Pradesh.
