Spears' dad to remain her co-conservator until Feb 14
Washington, Feb 5 : Britney Spears' father Jaime will remain her co-conservator alongside lawyer Andrew Wallet until Feb. 14, Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz ruled on Feb 5.
The decision came in a hearing in which Britney's new attorney, Adam Streisand, claimed that the pop star had a 'strong desire' against her father's temporary oversight.
Streisand argued that Jamie's conservatorship 'would only cause further distress, agitation and estrangement.'
He further said that co-temporary conservator Wallet 'simply doesn't have the knowledge' to handle Britney's 40 million dollars fortune.
Streisand, who's reportedly related to singer Barbra Streisand, suggested to the court that Northern Trust Bank should be named as the temporary guardian of the singer's wealth.
However, after the hearing, Goetz ruled that Jamie Spears and Wallet would remain as co-conservators.
"The commissioner felt Mr. Streisand had no standing to represent Ms. Spears," People quoted a court spokesman, as saying.
