Railways beat Maharashtra by 18-0 in National Womena's Hockey
Jalandhar, Feb 5 (UNI) Defending champions, Indian Railways thrashed Maharashtra with a huge margin of 18-0 in a league match in the 55th Rakshak Senior Women Hockey championship played at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here today.
Star studded Railways sounded the board with two penulty strokes and seven field goals and converted nine penulty corners.
In another league match, Indian University draw with Bombay (0-0), while Karnataka routed Pepsu (1-0) by converting a penulty corner in the 27th minute.
In the fourth match of the day, that was played between Delhi and Andhra Pradesh, Delhi won the match (5-1) by posting four field goals and converting a penulty corner in the 60th minute.
For AP, lone scorer K Mamatha converted a penulty corner in the 58th minutes.
