Precious metals improve: BBA
Mumbai, Feb 5: Both the precious metals improved today with silver rising by Rs 20 per kg and gold by Rs 20 per ten gm in the opening session of trading amid fresh buying support at the Bombay Bullion market.
Though in domestic market the precious metals rose slightly, in international market, a reverse trend was observed. Spot gold fell to USD 901.50/902.60 an ounce from USD 904.40/905.10 late in New York. Silver edged down to USD 16.67/16.72 an ounce from USD 16.69/16.74 in New York.
Following were the opening rates of spot silver and gold in the Bombay Bullion market today: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 21,050 Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 11,535 Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 11,590.
