MNS supporters attack Nirupam's office
Mumbai, Feb 5 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) supporters today attacked Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam's office in Andheri here.
The attack was prompted by Mr Nirupam's decision to stage a ''dharna'' outside the house of MNS chief Raj Thackeray later in the day.
A large group of MNS workers stormed Mr Nirupam's office in the morning and pelted stones, sources said. They also raised slogans against Mr Nirupam, who is an estranged Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha member. A taxi in the vicinity was also damaged, according to the sources.
The police had to resort to a mild lathi-charge to disperse the group. Police have detained 32 MNS activists, seven of them women, in this connection.
