HC directs govt, table committee report in police recruitment scam
Allahabad, Feb 5 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court today directed the state government to table the committee report, headed by then UP chief secretary, in the police recruitment scam case.
The court has asked the government to produce report to check the grounds of CBI inquiry.
About 23,00 police constables were disposed for irregularities during the police recruitment and appointment in the year 2005-06, on grounds of Shailja Kant Mishra committee report.
After the Shailja Mishra report, a committee under the chairmanship of chief secretary was constituted which had also submitted its report to the government.
The inquiry committee had submitted its finding to the state government and the government in pursuance thereof had taken a decision for recommending further inquiry by the CBI for the alleged recruitment scam.
Therefore, the Court directed the committee to produce all the records with affidavit in the court. The court will hear this case on February 26.
