Ahmedabad, Feb 5: Department of Post (Gujarat Circle) and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance today announced their strategic partnership to accept the latter's premiums at all post offices in the state.
Speaking to mediapersons here, ICICI Senior Vice President Poonam Bhardwaj said, ''This partnership will enable our policyholders to gain access to an additional network of 8,941 post offices, spread across the length and breadth of the state, to pay their premiums.'' Ms Bhardwaj said, ''The tie-up aims to strengthen the service infrastructure in the rural segment in Gujarat.'' ''Customers can now walk into post offices that are listed on the ICICI Prudential Life Insurance website, produce their acknowledgment letter and policy number to make their first and renewal premium in cash,'' she said.
Chief Post Master General (Gujarat) Vijaylaxmi Sheth said, ''With this tie-up, the Department of Post desires to use its vast network for public convenience.'' ''We are sure our patrons will deeply appreciate the value-added services, such as premium paying facility,'' Ms Sheth added.
