Cold wave abates further in Delhi, mercury rises to 8 deg C
New Delhi, Feb 5: The cold wave sweeping Delhi over the past week today abated further with the mercury rising to eight degrees Celsius. Clouds over the city skyline led to a rise in minimum temperature, from six degrees C yesterday, to eight degrees C, one degree below normal.
A slight fog was witnessed in the morning although visibility levels remained near normal at 600m. The abatement in chill could persist over the next few days with weatherman forecasting a minimum temperature of eight degrees tomorrow. The Met office have forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with light rains or thundershowers tonight or tomorrow morning.
They have also forecast a slight mist in the morning.
