Clarke, Bingle don't have plans to get married as yet

Melbourne, Feb.5 : Model Lara Bingle and Australian ricketer Michael Clarke have said they have no plans of getting ngaged or married anytime soon.

Representatives at the star couple's management firm nternational Quarterback admitted they'd spent the past 24 hours rying to quash reports of the proposed engagement.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the pair met with the agency esterday, with Clarke leaving it to company representative Lisa tallard to speak to the media.

"The story was absolutely inaccurate - they're not getting ngaged, there is no engagement pending and there has not been ny magazine deals done to announce it," Stallard said.

On Monday, rumours were circulating in Australia that Clarke ould marry Bingle sooner than later.

The Daily Telegraph quoted Clarke's manager as denying the news, ut the glamour couple are reportedly preparing to announce their ngagement just over a year after they got together.

They were pictured shopping in Brisbane yesterday soon after the ustralian team checked into a hotel.

Walking hand in hand, they looked every bit the happy couple.

Clarke had plenty to smile about after captaining Australia to a wenty20 win over India in front of 84,000 spectators at the MCG n Friday night.ccording to the Courier Mail however, Lara was in hiding on the unshine Coast.

The marriage speculation was running hot all weekend, with eports that Pup (Clarke's nickname) has splashed out on a five-arat diamond ring for his future wife.

Papers here are predicting that an announcement could be made efore Clarke goes on a tour with the Australian team to akistan.

Last month, Bingle admitted that she fears for Clarke if he tours trife-torn Pakistan in March 2008, adding that she "can't stop im from going". Cricket Australia is yet to decide if the team will tour akistan, where violence erupted after the December assassination f former premier Benazir Bhutto. Bingle says it is hard to be separated from Clarke, who is on ricket duties nine months of the year. "I take it day-by-day. I don't like to know too far ahead (where e is going and how long he will be gone). Otherwise you'd get oo upset thinking, 'Oh no, you're going away for three months'," he Sunday Herald quoted Bingle, as saying. The couple recently celebrated their first anniversary of being a ouple together with a simple taco dinner at Bingle's home. Bingle, 20, who reportedly signed a 50,000 dollars contract to ecome the face of Speedo's fashionable beach collection, quashed peculation that she was moving in with the batsman. She said that she modelled the new Speedo range exclusively for he Sunday Herald Sun this week, and added that she is elebrating a career boost after becoming the new face of wimwear company Speedo. Bingle, the former face of the controversial "Where the Bloody ell Are You?" Australian tourism campaign claims responsibility or Clarke's sharp new look. "I did it myself," she says. "I love it, I think it looks more asculine." Clarke credits his happiness with Bingle as part of his recipe or on-field success. And Bingle appreciates the positive impact e has had on her.
