Washington, Feb 5 : Amy Adams is in talks to star alongside Ben Stiller in 20th Century Fox's "Night at the Museum 2."
If she signs on, Adams will be playing an undetermined historical figure who has a crush on security guard Larry, to be played by Stiller, reports Variety.
The new movie will tell the tale of what happens when the artefacts from the Museum of Natural History are boxed up and sent to the archives at the Smithsonian in Washington.
Along with Stiller, director Shawn Levy is also returning to the sequel. He will be helming from a story scripted by Scott Frank who gave the most recent draft after writers Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon.
Levy's 21 Laps is producing alongside 1492 Pictures, Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe.
The studio is eyeing a May start date in Vancouver with a U.S. release date set for May 22, 2009.
