Their other agenda include opposition of SEZs and Neo-imperialism.
The Yatra will be organised in collaboration with NAFRE Jan Andolan.
Talking to news persons here today, WBEN Convener Swapan Panda said, ''Despite education being the fundamental right of all children, according to the 86th amendment of the Constitution, but the scenario in the present education system is quite contrary to that. There is a distinct divide in the quality of education imparted by private and government schools and equal and quality education for all remains a distant dream.'' The WBEN also demanded non-commercialisaton of education, mid-day meal for all upto secondary level, rescue and rehabilitation of all children engaged in labour, drastic measures to combat trafficking of women and children, right to food and work for rural and urban people, activation of Public Distribution System for the benefit of the poor, proper implementation of NREGA and rehabilitation of the victims of natural calamities.
