New Delhi, Feb 4 (UNI) Exhorting Delhi Development Authority (DDA) officers to ensure speedy allotment of plots for various developmental schemes for which the planning commission of DDA had already given its consent, Delhi Finance and Power Minister A K Walia today said he would seek the intervention of the Delhi Lt.

Governor and DDA Chairman in the matter.

Alleging that the departments of DDA are ''sleeping'' over the matter for the last many months, Dr Walia urged senior officers of the DDA to act fast and ensure allotment of plots as unwarranted delay on their part was causing difficulties to the people.

''The people are being denied of their rightful facilities which have already been approved and promised by the Delhi Government,'' Dr Walia said.

The Minister said he had been continuously pursuing these matters in several meetings and had also visited the sites of the projects.

''The lukewarm response of various departments of DDA is causing unnecessary delay in execution of various public friendly developmental schemes. Apart from this, a road opposite Poorva Sanskritik Kendra is also in bad shape. The residents of the colony have been insisting pon upgradation of this road for the last four years.'' DDA has not cared to provide any solution and bring that particular road in good shape,''Dr Walia said.

Dr Walia has sought the intervention of the LG and has requested for bringing ''irresponsible officials'' to book to avoid any further delay in these projects. He may also request for suitable action against erring officers and an action taken report in this matter.
