Congress govt failed to meet requirements of people: Paswan
Shillong, Feb 4 (UNI) Confident of making inroads into Meghalaya, the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) today accused the Congress-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance of failing to meet the wishes of the people in the state.
'' The government has totally failed to meet the requirements of the people on all fronts, '' LJP leader Ramchandra Paswan told reporters here while announcing the name of party candidates for the March three Meghalaya Assembly polls.
The LJP, an ally of the Congress at the Centre, announced the name of 12 candidates, including three women candidates in the fray.
'' We are sure to open an account in Meghalaya as other national parties like the Congress have failed to do so for the past three decades, '' he said.
Mr Paswan, however, assured that his party would ensure development in the state, if voted to power.
