Haryana to develop 195 villages under Vikas Yojna
Chandigarh, Feb 3 (UNI) The Haryana Government will spend an amount of Rs 97.75 crore for the development of 195 villages of the state under the "Mukhyamantri Anusuchit Jaati Gram Uthan avam Malin Basti Vikas Yojna" formulated for socio-economic upliftment of the persons belonging to Scheduled Castes (SCs) during the next financial year.
While giving this information here today, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Dharambir Singh said that under this scheme, an amount of Rs 50 lakh per village would be spent on speedy developmental works in next two years. This scheme is for the villages having more than 50 per cent SC population.
He informed that there were 391 villages in the state where the SCs population was more than 50 per cent.
