Star campaigners to rally in Tripura from tomorrow
Agartala, Feb 2 (UNI) As many as five top Left Front leaders of the country, including CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, would address an election rally here tomorrow, the first public meeting in the state after announcement of the Assembly elections.
Party leaders said here today the Left Front had organised intensive election campaigns to motivate the voters so that the party could attract huge crowds in the rally.
The party leaders also announced to release the election manifesto today ahead of the polls while the leaders stated that the election rally from tomorrow onwards would be based on the commitments emphasised in the manifesto.
Meanwhile, the BJP state unit will also hold a mass gathering on February 17 where party national president Rajnath Singh and some other senior leaders, including Susma Swaraj, would participate.
The Opposition Congress would organise sub-division level public meetings followed by a central election rally during the second week of February where Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other senior party leaders were expected to address the rally.
