Meghalaya polls, MDP announces second list
Shillong, Feb 2 (UNI) The Meghalaya Democratic Party (MDP) today announced its second list of four candidates for the March three Assembly elections in the state.
Announcing the second list, party president and Social Welfare Minister Martle N Mukhim said the people of the state were completely demoralised with the present situation.
'' The people are losing hope of their future either politically, socially and economically, '' he said.
Mr Mukhim, who also released MDP's 25-point election manifesto, appealed to his party workers and candidates to uphold the basic principle of the party and to work with accountability and fairness during the election campaign.
Mr Mukhim announced the names of Dennington L Marbaniang (Umroi), Robinson Dkhar (Nongpoh), Grossperly Rynthathiang (Mairang) and THS Bonney (Sohiong) constituencies.
Earlier, the MDP had declared the names of 15 candidates, which includes two former Congress Ministers Edmund S Lyndoh and Sujit K Sangma.
