Maya sacks Bareilly CMS, City Commissioner for laxity

Bareilly, Feb 2 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today made a surprise inspection of Bareilly District Hospital and directed dismissal of Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) Dr Madan Mohan and emergency service in charge Dr A K Gupta for dereliction of duty.

In addition, the CM ordered dismissal Commissioner (city) U N Thakur for poor maintenance of roads.

Taking serious note of the absence of IG, Bareilly zone, Guru Bachan Lal, divisional commissioner Mazid Ali, DIG Avinash Chandra at duty, she sought an immediate reply from these officials.

After addressing a rally in Hardwar, Mayawati flew off to Bareilly Police Line this evening and later her fleet reached the district hospital.

Sources said the BSP supremo remained at the hospital for around 20 minutes and met the patients, besides taking stock of the medical services.
