Former police inspector arrested

Shivpuri, MP, Feb 2 (UNI) A former police inspector, who was charged with the murder of his second wife, has been arrested, police said today.

Superintendent of Police Dinesh Chandra Sharma said school director Sudha was strangulated to death at Khataura town on June 14. The matter was reported by her husband and former inspector D S Cheema.

School maid Hajjo Bai was arrested on the basis of suspicion.

Hajjo revealed that Cheema's first wife and her relatives had objections viewing Sudha as Cheema's second wife.

Later, Cheema and his first wife hatched a conspiracy to kill Sudha. Cheema was absconding. Mr Sharma noticed him today and got him arrested.
