Lahore, Feb 2 : Pakistan's fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has said that he does not need any central contract for representing Pakistan.
Akhtar also ruled out the possibility of signing a special retainership with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
He said that he is fully fit and prepared to resume his international career.
According to The News, Akhtar said that he has played international cricket even when he was down with very high fever, because playing for Pakistan is his "only preference."
Lamenting his failure to play against Zimbabwe, Akhtar told reporters here that he needed match practice ahead of the series against Australia.
When asked about his acting plans, Akhtar said he had five to six offers, but had not signed any.
