Jammu, Feb 1 (UNI) Police arrested three youth for looting local villagers in Bhaderwah town of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.
Police said three youths from Kashmir were apprehended on a complaint from one Saleema Begum, who was looted by them.
''The woman handed over gold to the cheaters, who played fraud and escaped from the spot with the gold,'' police told UNI.
The police party laid a trap in the area and arrested all the three youths for fraud and looting cash and ornaments from the villagers.
The accused have been identified as Ghulam Mohi-ud-din, Ghulam Hassn, residents of Baramulla, Shamshad Shah, resident of Kulgam, Anantnag while police recovered 200 grams of gold and Rs 40,000 from their possession.
