Chennai, Feb 1: 'Sabols' packaged drinking water, a well known brand in South India, today announced the launch of club soda. Company Chairman M K Senthil, in a release here, said the 500 ml Sabols club soda was launched in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Puducherry with a price tag of Rs 12. The company would launch carbonated drinks and fruit juices by the month-end, he added.
Sabols had won the acclaim of 'Swadeshi product' in the South. It started production in 1999 and now enjoyed 25 per cent market share, he said.
The plant was well equipped with sophisticated machineries, latest technologies and state-of-the-art equipment, that included various kinds of filters, ozonator to kill bacteria and give increased shelf life.
The plant had the best chemical and microbiological lab with all imported equipment manned by well qualified and experienced chemists and microbiologists. ''The whole process to the final product are untouched by human hands. The plants are fully tiled with latest technologies adhering to the Bureau of Indian Standards and International Standards,'' he said.
