Rain, snow likely in J

Pune, Feb 1 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Severe cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh, and at isolated places in west Rajasthan and Marathwada.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and in some parts of Gujarat, north Chattisgarh and in remaining parts of Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh and east Rajasthan. Cold day conditions also prevailed at isolated places in Konkan.

Night temperatures were markedly below normal in some parts of north interior Karnataka, appreciably below normal in Konkan, Goa and in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Orissa, Jharkhand, Rayalseema, and in remaining parts of Gujarat and Marathwada.

They were below normal in some parts of Telangana, coastal Karnataka and in remaining parts of Assam, Meghalaya and east Uttar Pradesh.

Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in coastal Andhra Pradesh and in some parts of Tamil Nadu. They were normal over the rest of the country.
