Mumbai, Feb 1: US-based workforce management solution provider, Kronos is extending its arm to India after its successful foray into China and a few other Asian countries. The 625 million dollar company, which has a 60 member Development Centre in Noida, has been operating in the country for about six months now and is expected to get a breakthrough in penetrating into Indian companies within a year.
Offering its solutions with IBM as its infrastructure partner, Kronos has launched its Workforce Central Version six, a comprehensive offering of software and services designed to maximise productivity and achieve opertional excellence in manufacturing units, Company Industry Marketing (manufacturing) Director Gregg S Gordon told newsmen here.
Mr Gordon said that the Company, which has witnessed 101 successive quarters of growth and profitability at 10 to 15 per cent, expects the Indian market to lap up its solutions and outpace the past growth records. While Kronos has solutions for almost every industry, the growth sectors identified for India are healthcare, manufacturing, retail and IT services. ''Specifically with respect to manufacturing and with the launch today, we have identified automotives, life science and oil and gas as the growth drivers,'' he added.
Considering that Indian companies have over the years developed a number of ingenious solutions themselves, Mr Gordon was confident that the Kronos view would bring about a paradigm shift in the way manufacturing companies view their workforce productivity measures.
