Mumbai, Feb 1 (UNI) The designated TADA court here today refused to hand over the custody of 1993 Mumbai blasts case accused Mustafa Dossa alias Mustafa Majnu to the Karnataka police.

The Karnataka police wants the custody of Dossa to interrogate him in connection with the murder case of a landing agent in 1990 at Modbugal near Belgaum.

Earlier, the Karnataka police had approached the court praying for the custody of Dossa, following which TADA court Judge P D Kode directed them to furnish details of the case, and also the production warrant.

Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the Karnataka police could not submit the required documents. The court, while asking the Karnataka cops to produce the documents on the next date of hearing, adjourned the matter for two weeks.

Dossa, along with extradited blast accused Abu Salem and his accomplice Riyaz Siddiki, is facing a separate trial in the 1993 blast case in which the court had earlier convicted 100 persons and aquitted 23.

Besides his involment in the 1993 blast, Dossa is also involved in a series of cases, including a TADA case in Gujarat.
