Washington, Feb 1 : Britney Spears' ex-husband, Kevin Federline is worried about the pop icon and thinks that a psychiatric hospital is the best place for her at the moment, reveals a source.
On Jan 31, the fallen pop princess was taken to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Centre following a breakdown.
A source close to K-Fed revealed that the former back-up dancer "doesn't want her to get out until she's made progress. This is obviously going to help her in the end - later, much later."
"He's worried. ... He doesn't even know what's going to happen next," People quoted the source, as saying.
Federline was not directly involved in the latest events, "but he was aware of what was happening," added another source.
Unlike the first time Spears was sent to the hospital, the children were with Federline, the source said.
"Kevin legitimately wants Britney to get better. He wants her to be in their sons' lives. He wants them to have a loving relationship. He wants her to get healthy so she can be the mother they need and deserve," the source added.
Another source said that getting medical help again for Spears "has been planned for a long time. Her family is behind this."
