New Delhi, Feb 1 (UNI) One can enjoy the quaint old world charm of steam puffing rail engines at the National Rail Museum here on February two and three, when the museum celebrates its 31st foundation Day.
During the two-day celebrations, visitors can witness a fully functional miniature live steam train, the 'Indian Glory' by the renowned model maker Iqbal Ahmed who finds mention in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Visitors will also have an opportunity to explore the museum with the Indian Steam Railway Society who will conduct a guided tour of the museum every hour.
The programme for two day celebrations is designed in such a way that the entire family can have a fun filled experience, a Railway release said here today.
The highlights of the celebrations include; live steam garden train, train modeling workshop, discover the world of stamps and discover the Railways through stamps in a phicatelic workshop, discover the trees of the museum in the Tree Walk conducted by Mr Pradip Krishen, the author of the famous book 'Trees of Delhi', discover the magical world of science by making toys with everyday household products, bird watching, Children's films, handicrafts, and food courts.
