'Braj Raj Mahotsava' from Feb 8
Mathura, Feb 1 (UNI) In yet another effort to draw foreign tourists to 'Krishna Nagari,' a four-day 'Braj Raj Mahotsava' will be organised here from February 8.
The mahotsava will be focus on different aspects of the Lord Krishna's life, wearing all the colours of 'Krishna leela' in cultural programmes, music and paintings.
Besides, organising programmes for children, agricultural seminars, boat race and other such competitions will also be held, District Magistrate Anita C Meshram said yesterday.
The event will be organised at four different places simultaneously.
Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Lakshmi Narayan Chaudhary will lit the lamp for its grand opening at Railway ground.
In order to attract maximum gathering, ambassadors of several countries had been informed about the grand cultural event, besides making subsidised arrangements for them at hotels here, programme chief organiser and Mathura Development Association president R K Singh said.
To add colour to the event, few celebrities like renowned singer Shreya Ghosal, famous comedian Raju Srivastava and flute mastero Ronu Majumdar will also entertain the public.
