Jaipur, Jan 31 (UNI) AICC General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi today said there was scope for expansion and/or reshuffle in the Manmohan Singh Council of Ministers at the Centre and the same could be effected whenever required.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Dwivedi said there was scope for an expansion and if certain political situations of urgent nature would not have arisen, it could have already been effected.
Replying to a query on the possibility of induction of sitting MP Sachin Pilot in the ministry, Mr Dwivedi said after the recent reshuffle in the AICC executive he had said that some of those young Congress leaders, who had been left out of the organisational reshuffle, would be accommodated in the government.
''I do stand by my statement,'' Mr Dwivedi, incharge of organisational affairs in the AICC, said.
Over the possibility of change of leadership in certain party state units, Mr Dwivedi said the change was a continuous process and it would be effected as and when needed.
