New Delhi, Jan 31 : The contingent of the Rajputana Rifles Regiment has bagged the award for the best marching contingent among the three services at this year's Republic Day parade.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) contingent was awarded the best marching contingent among paramilitary and other auxiliary marching contingents.
In the children's pageant category, "Tiranga Sakshi Hai" presented by the students of Kamal Model Senior Secondary School, Mohan Garden and Vandana International Senior Secondary School, Sector -10, Dwarka was given the first prize.
The second prize in this category went to four Government Girls Schools, Trilokpuri for their presentation "Gaurav". South Central Zone Culture Centre, Nagpur was awarded third prize for its dance performance "Gour Madia", the bison dance.
In the tableaux category, Kerala's tableau depicting Onam festival was awarded first prize. The second prize went to tableau from Karnataka depicting Hoysala temple. The tableau of Ministry of Human Resource Development on the theme Education of Girl child was awarded third prize.
