North Indians hurt over Raj Thackeray's statement: Thakur
Patna, Jan 31 (UNI) Former Bihar Minister and senior vice-president of the Bharat Sevak Samaj, Shambhu Sharan Thakru, today condemned former Shiv Sena leader Raj Thackeray for his 'wild' and 'unwanted' statement against North Indians, especially people of Bihar.
He said Mr Thackeray had hurt the sentiments of the largest number of Hindus, residing in this part the country, by issuing such statements during the auspicious Chhath festival.
Earlier Mr Thackeray had said the worhip was a ''drama'', which was an attack on the emotions of the people of North India, especially Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, who also strived for the progress and development of Maharashtra.
He also asked Mr Thackeray to stop issuing such statements in the interest the nation's unity.
