Gang abducts man, throw him out of car
Puducherry, Jan 31 (UNI) Police are on the look out for a gang travelling in a car in which they abducted one Muthukrishnan of Madurai at Thavalakuppam near here and later threw him out at Odeanpet after taking all his belonings including cash.
According to police, it was reported that a petrol bunk in Madurai used to sell it's stock in Tamil Nadu in black market.
Muthukrishnan, an employee of the petrol bunk went to Coimbatore to collect the money for the sale of petrol there and reached Thavalakuppam early this morning. He was waiting for a bus to Madurai when the gang abducted him. They drove the car via Ariyankuppam and Murungapakkam to Villianur and on the way he was thrown out at Odeanpet.
On a complaint from Muthukrishnan, police alerted the control room and informed all the police stations to search for a red coloured Sumo car with Puducherry registration. But the search proved to be futile. Muthukrishnan who sustained slight injuries, was given first aid at the Government General Hospital.
Police are investigating into the abduction as well as the charges of selling petrol meant for Puducherry in Tamil Nadu.
