Brazil Partners Goa Tourism for Goa Carnival 2008 on Feb 2
Panaji, Jan 31 (UNI) Brazil and India will join hands at the Goa Carnival 2008, which will be flagged off by Chief Minister Digamber Kamat and Tourism Minister Francisco (Mickey) Pacheco here on February 2.
Goa tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) Managing Director Sanjit Rodrigues, in the presence of Counsul General of Brazil, Paulo Antonio Pereira Pinto, speaking to media persons here today said, Goa Carnival 2008 will create a cultural fusion like never before.
He said that opening a new corridor of friendship between the two former Portuguese colonies, the Goa Carnival 2008 will celebrate the cultural similarities between the two nations, not forgetting the contribution to Goan Football by the Brazilian players in various Goan Clubs.
The Carnival will involve a beautiful and magnificent float which will be part of the traditional float parade.
The splendid float will depict the cultural similarities between the two countries.
