Peshawar, Jan 31 : Security forces have found bodies of thirteen missing Pakistani soldiers in a vehicle parked in the tribal area of Darra Adam Khel.
Last Friday, militants had abducted the soldiers after security forces have taken control of a checkpoint at the Friendship Tunnel.
"It appears that the soldiers were killed last week but their bodies were found on Wednesday," the Dawn quoted a security official, as saying.
According to sources, the vehicle was found in Tor Chappar area of Darra Adam Khel on Tuesday morning, but nobody was allowed to go near the vehicle fearing that it might be a booby trap.
The bodies were later taken to the combined military hospital in Kohat.
Security officials believe that militants had executed the soldiers when security forces regained control over the tunnel on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, people who had fled Darra Adam Khel because of the military operation have started returning to their homes.
