Arjun Singh should apologise to nation on NCERT blunders: BJP
New Delhi, Jan 31 (UNI) Demanding an apology from Human Resources Development Minister Arjun Singh for the objectionable phrases used in NCERT text books against revolutionaries, the BJP today said such writers should be blacklisted.
Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan said the Centre should immediately drop such objectionable references and punish the guilty writers.
Condemning references in NCERT books that Guru Gobind Singh made an agreement with Aurangzeb after he was tired of fighting and describing Lala Lajpat Rai and Bal Gangadhar Tilak as terrorists, the Delhi BJP chief said after the NCERT gave an undertaking before the High Court that objectionable portions would be deleted before the next educational session. The government must blacklist those writers responsible for it, he added.
