Tripura EC sets deadline of Feb 4 to submit spare EPICs

Agartala, Jan 30 (UNI) The Tripura state election panel today set a deadline of February six for submitting the spare Electronic Photo Identity Card (EPIC).

The election officials apprehended a possibility of having more than one cards with people, whose EPICs were shifted or corrected earlier.

Talking to mediapersons here, Chief Electoral Officer G S G Ayyanger said, ''Those who have two cards must submit one to the sub-divisional officers within the stipulated time.'' He further informed that police has already launched investigation against 300 people for submitting false documents while enrolling their name.
