Both
the
precious
metals
eased
today
on
thin
buying
support
with
silver
declining
by
Rs
110
per
kg
and
gold
by
Rs
75
per
ten
gm
in
the
opening
trading
session
at
the
Bombay
Bullion
market.
In the international market also gold and silver dipped with silver at USD 16.61/16.66 an ounce from USD 16.68/16.73 in New York. Gold also fell to USD 921.50/922.50 an ounce from USD 928.60/929.30 an ounce as investors booked profits ahead of an interest rate decision by the US Federal Reserve, which may determine the direction of the precious metals market.
Following are the opening rates of spot silver and gold in the Bombay Bullion market today: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 20,970 Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 11,770 Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 11,825.
