UP Police baton charge workers demanding permanent job in Noida Development Authority
Noida, Jan 30 : Uttar Pradesh Police on Wednesday baton charged the workers who took out a rally in Noida to press their demand for permanent jobs.
The workers who are temporary staff of the Noida Development Authority have been on strike for the past two months.
According to officials, the workers called for a tool down strike.
"Today they have smashed the windshields of the parked vehicles and created a law and order problem so as to bring them under control the police had to resort to baton charge," said Superintendent of Police Paresh Panddey.
The police have taken over 31 people into custody.
Around 4, 000 workers have temporary job in the Noida Development Authority.
