Bangalore, Jan 30 (UNI) Over ten lakhs devotees would attend the five-day annual Suttur Fair, a Religious, Social and Cultural extravaganza, organised by the 1000-year-old Suttur Mutt, situated about 35-km from Mysore city.
Addressing newspersons here today H Gangadhar, Chairman of the Reception Committee of the Fair said the Cattle show, wrestling competition, mass marriages, cultural events would mark the event which is being conducted since many decades.
The Department of Kannada and Culture would organised 'Karnataka Vaibhava', a light and sound programme to highlight the rich heritage of Karnataka during the event on all the five days of fair, he said.
Stating that the Suttur Mutt, which also runs more than 400 educational institutions across the country and abroad, had made arrangements including that of food and accommodation for the visiting devotees.
Suttur is a revered place for both Shivaites and Vaishnavas during the event.
