Kidwai launches 'Sale of Leprosy Seals'
Chandigarh, Jan 30 (UNI) Haryana Governor Dr A R Kidwai today launched the "Sale of Leprosy Seals" to mark the Anti Leprosy Day at Haryana Raj Bhawan here today.
In his address, the Governor appealed that the collaborative work between government and voluntary organisations should be further strengthened besides creating awareness about the problems of the unfortunate victims of the disease.
The Governor appreciated the efforts made by the Haryana government and Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh, Haryana towards eradicating the leprosy from the state.
Mr Kidwai said that observance of this day provides an opportunity to create mass awareness about leprosy as well as in removing the misconception about the disease.
Secretary to Governor Alok Nigam, General Health Services Director Dr Avinash Sharma, Social Justice and Empowerment Director A K Yadav, ADC to Governor Jag Pravesh Dahiya and other officers were also present on the occasion.
