Delimitation of seats to benefit Congress: Kuldip Sharma
Ambala, Jan 30 (UNI) The Congress Party will benefit with the introduction of new delimitation of Assembly Constituencies and Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, stated Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee working president Kuldip Sharma here today.
While interacting with media here, Mr Sharma said under the delimitation process, there would be scope to introduce new faces against the new constituencies to be made under the new process.
Therefore, his party had welcomed the delimitation while the other parties were protesting against it because they feared to lose much.
Responding to a question, he criticised former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal and his son Kuldip Bishnoi for their anti-party activities. He said now they had realised that they were losing the ground without the party. The followers whose support they were claiming, had started deserting them and they were now isolated. The time was not far away, he said, when they would find themselves ''rootless leaders''.
He dared them to quit the Congress Party immediately, since they had floated their own political party.
Commenting on the place of BJP in Haryana politics, he said that it was a party without supporters and was plagued with internal bickerings. The BJP, he added, had always survived on alliances with other parties and had no independent existence of its own.
He also accused INLD supremo, Om Prakash Chautala of having ''dual standards'' and claimed that the INLD chief was ''misleading the people by making hollow promises''.
